Default 2008 C6 noise in M6

Hey guys, I just went from a C4 to a very low miles 2008 in near perfect condition. My situation is I'm hearing a noise coming from the rear end when I'm going very slow in 1st gear and I let off the gas. Its the only time it happens, the clutch and everything seems perfect. The noise is like a slight bang or clanking, like two pieces hitting together. I've had other cars with manuals and have never heard this noise before. Is this something normal in a c6 or should I be concerned? Well I'm already concerned, hence the question, but should I take it to get looked at? Any help greatly appreciated.

It has the Z51 package if that makes any difference.

I would look into the rear axle nuts being loose. There are lots of threads on it.
Here is one of them.

ok thanks. Sounds like rear differential fluid issue could be a cause too.

I just read that post, those symptoms are a little different, I don't hear the noise when letting off the gas at speed, I only hear it when going very slow and the wheel is turned sharply. Thank you though.

You may also hear that same noise when backing and turning. Change the rear diff lube. I bought a few quarts of the correct GM lube and made a few tight circles in a parking lot. The rear diff clutches are not slipping as smoothly as they should.
