Default camshaft replacement

I have a bone stock 06" 3lt vette for a good mechanic what would be roughly time wise to r&r camshaft.

Also would i need a tune?

Yep you would need a tune. I would plan on a week for it to be done along with the tune. It can all be done in a day if it was worked on continuously by someone that knows what they are doing but things come up and the tuner may not be the one that does the actual installation of the cam.

I agree that they will probably want to keep the car a week roughly. It would probably take the average corvette shop 6-10 hrs to complete the swap itself.

I can also confirm that it will indeed need a tune.

Your gonna need a lot more than a cam and a tune.... You will need headers, CAI etc.... Cant just throw a cam in a bone stock car.

Correct... there are about 4k dollars worth of stuff that would be better than a cam before you just do a cam.

I dropped my car off at West Bend Dyno in West Bend WI in the morning and picked it up at COB the same day.

Agree with what others have stated...unless you're trying to go smog legal sleeper, there's plenty of other stuff you could/should do before you go stabbing a cam in a bone stock vehicle. Now swapping out to the better flowing OE LS7/LS9 3" exhuast (manifolds, cats, etc.), along with ported OE heads, ported OE manifold, and a sleeper cam...that could be a fun little project. I have a soft spot for sleeper cars...
