How To Fix A Loose Rear View Mirror
Hey there,
Ever since I bought my C6, the rear view mirror has been loose. I have seen a few threads on the forum on how to fix this issue. So I made a detailed step by step video using the hardware store drill bit method. Hopefully it will help some more people get this problem fixed. I started this as a new thread to help answer any questions people had about the fix, hopefully this is in the right place. I saw "How to Remove & Replace", and thought this thread would fit best here. Let me know your feedback. Thanks

I tried a few different methods for fixing the loose mirror on my 05.. Using the 3 drill bit shanks was the only one that was permanent, all the rest failed within a few months..Nice job...WW

Just a side note
For me, I did this 3 times before i got it right.
I was reattaching the mirror and turning it opposite of the video.
I was turning to lock clockwise.
Dosent look like that would be a big deal, but it was, I kept bending one of the rods every time.
Not sure what made me try counter clockwise on the third go round, but that worked.

Slippery, YOU ARE MY HERO. Thanks to your video I was able to remove the mirror (Had no clue otherwise) buy the 5/64" drill bits. (Good thing they come in pairs of 2 because I cut one too short) Held my breath putting back on, especially when it 'popped' going into place. Test drove it today and so far, NO SHAKEY.
Thank you for taking the time to share with excellent video.
