Default replace shocks or install coil overs?

So while i was having my car built i had replaced my factory blown shocks with Bilstein sport shocks because my car is slammed. They were installed by the shop and a couple weeks later i found a deal on so Pfadt Featherlike SA Drag coil overs to go along with a 15" conversion so i picked all the up as well. With the a-arms were solid bushings included and ground down for clearance already. So i called the shop and they had already thrown the boxes away to just remove and return the Bilsteins.

So what I'm trying to figure out at this point is it worth the swap to the coil overs or should i stick with my Bilsteins? Will i notice a difference in drivability? Car is making 730+ on motor and will be 1000-1200 on bottle... Im looking for the best ride as possible and as well as easy adjustability between swapping from a 26" tire to a 28" frequently.

Thanks for the help i appreciate any help/ideas given

I would stay with the factory shocks. Plenty of cars in the 9's and 8's on them. Unless you are running road course or auto x events they are just a waste.

If you run from a dig, you might consider adjustable shocks. You can dial them in for better weight transfer and later set them for more aggressive road driving. They are a less expensive alternative to coilovers.

Yes i understand what you're saying and that makes sense. Im not doing any road course or auto x. Just want the best ride and adjustability but i can't have my cake and eat it too but just want the car to hook and shave some extra weight if possible in the process. I appreciate that insight on it

My wife says that the coilovers ride better. My Pfadts broke so I replaced them with LG's. The LG's are not as smooth as the Pfadt's, but they also haven't broken.

Coilovers are heavier than the stock springs. Best thing to do is just some DA shocks and be done. Reliable, work great, adjustable, and ride nice.

He says that he likes the car slammed and you can't really slam it without coilovers. I tried three different lowering bolts and cut the stock bolts and finally gave up and got coilovers.

Slammed and 750+hp, and 15" and fitting 28"s doesn't work. So he needs to choose looks or performance. A shock needs travel to properly work.

If he wants slammed and keep performance, could do the LG drop spindles, but then can't do a 15" in the rear.

Yes i agree its a give and take and I'm aware.... but i thought getting coil overs would give me that my current setup I'm on eibach lowering bolts bottomed out up front and 3 threads from bottomed out out back. When on my 20's which is most of the time i want to sit just as it does now and then when i put the 15's on ill be on a taller tire so ill need to adjust the rear for sure and I'm aware of that. Right now i currently run a 17" rear wheel and don't need to adjust ride height being on a 25.5" hoosier but traction is sub par

When you adjust ride height, it will mess with alignment, so each time you do that you need to align the car.

Yeah dam that makes sense i might just have to put my 20's on for car shows and not worry about the alignment if i can get the coilers to the exact same ride height on 28" tires. Dam what a pain in the *** hahaha but the cars so useless right now at almost any speed i need to ride around on 15's

I'd sell both the bilsteins and pfadt coilovers and buy either DA shocks or a drag coilover.

I didn't even realize that i didn't say they were the Pfadt Featherlite SA drag coil overs. These ARE NOT regular SA coil overs
Just removed the bilsteins last night. Will be given these coil overs a chance

There you go. If you have them, might as well try them out before you sell them.

stay away from coil overs if you don't track your car. If lowered is for looks, stay with factory or the bilstiens
