2008 cooling fan starting to growl
The cooling fan has been getting louder. Yesterday it was quite loud—I am reluctant to go much longer with it. Do I need a complete fan and shroud assembly, or is the motor easily separated from the shroud and from the blade? Connector is good, it is just getting loud—I assume bearing in the motor is going south.
Thanks for your guidance!

The electric fan motor is considered a seal unit, but not hard to pull it apart to change the bear bearings out.
The back cover has V tabs that are peen apart, so you need to squeeze them together once you have the motor off, this will allow you pull the back cover, pull the armature, press the old bearing off, press the new ones on, put it back together then punch the cover V back out to hold the case together again.
So fan unbolts and the fan flange will press off the shaft,
V tabs and bolts to take the motor out through the front of the shroud and apart,

Or just spend the $130 to buy a new unit without PWM.

ANyone know the measurement on that shrouded unitpictured?
How many amps does it draw what about cfm?

As the bearing go south, it starts to draw a lot more amperage isntead.
As for CFM's, its the stock C6 raditor fan, so what every the stop fan pushes in CFM per PWM percentages.
