z06 mufflers on base
i have a 09 base and am looking to buy 07 z06 mufflers...i know im going to need to to buy a step up to mate the mid pipe to the mufflers, but am i going to have an issue with clearance since GM changed the bend on the over the axle pipe in 09 since the z06 mufflers are from a 07?

Are you auto or manual? The 3" over axle pipes won't work on an auto without major modification.
And yes, the bends are different from 05-08 vs 09-13, it can be made to work but not without having a muffler shop cut some off and bend some small pieces to make it work. I have an 06 base with 09-13 headers/midpipe and I had to modify my stock axleback like I stated to make it work. But, I later upgraded to the NPP setup from an 2011 GS and it bolted up just fine.

C6 of Year Finalist (performance mods) 2019
Simple mod for any year LS2/3 is to cut the Z06 muffler off the 3" pipe about 3/4" from the can. Then cut the stock muffler off the 2.5" pipe flush with the can. Then weld the Z06 muffler to the 2.5" pipe. Throw away the 3" pipe and the stock muffler. Guaranteed to work every time.
