LG has been selling one for years. Not cheap. The whine would drive me nuts on the street.
But it's a quick shifting thing!

We really doesn't know the price. We have one unknown person on a forum saying it $35k.
I'll post the price when I get it from Quaife.
It's really doesn't matter to me what the price it. I'm just sharing the information.

The Emco is really the only way to go. Period. You have 60 ratios to choose from, you have a dry sumped oiling system in the unit, it feeds oil to each gear via the main and lay shafts, it has a spray bar, it has a drop gear- so you can change final drive if you want, it actually has oil pressure! Its not a modified T56 with one set of ratios.
not to mention its won the Daytona 24 hour. A few times.

Funny, I've just been entertaining A6 replacement options for the last week. With the lapse of the A6, the builders have increased their performance build pricing. So it's just not really worth building out an A6 anymore, imo.
While an LG installed Emco would be the dream...I don't have a stripped out money machine to run NASA or IMSA events, so it's far from a "practical" purchase "best choice" at $35k. Unless I get some sort of TV sponsorship again, not likely. But, on the other hand.....
The original Quaife LSx 6-speed sequential is about $9k GPB. But not rear-mount for the Corvette.
THIS news of a rear cradle-mount 6-speed sequential is HUGE. Especially since it's rated for more than 550hp....and likely will fall inline with the pricing of their original model...I'd expect in the 12k range for this one.
Now if I can only get TEIN to play ball with me in adapting their electromag suspension....

I don't know whose "quote" of $35K it is, but LGM's site says the sequential trans they sell is $28K. Maybe not a lot different, but it is to my way of thinking.

After USD conversion, the current front-mount Quaife LSx trans is about $12,5k. The rear-mount should be comparable...maybe a few more for the Corvette tax...but shouldn't top anywhere near $20k.
After seeing this post, I contacted Quaife immediately. Will share any info I can get out of them.
btw...if I'm not mistaken, that MTI Six-Shooter is also just the (largely unknown) Quaife conversion...

Still waiting on pricing. But most of their 6-speed gearboxes are all right around 12-13k US.
You should....that's at least $35k worth of gearbox right there. I'd LOVE that...just too rich for my blood when there's other options. LOL!
