Default Front brakes for F55

I'm looking to replace the front brake on my 2010 F55 suspension. I want cross drilled rotors that won't rust and low dust pads for my daily driver. What y ou you suggest? Thanks.

On the rotors, you can get plated rotors, but keep in mind that the pads will wear the plating off the rotor surfaces where they contact the iron rotors, and they will be able to rust at that part. Also, need to figure out if the rotor on the car are the base rotors, or if they are the slightly larger Z51 rotors instead.

Base.....front 12.8x1.26 rear 12x1

Z51......front 13.4x1.26 rear 13x1

Also to point out, even through your rotor may not not be cross drilled, does not mean that they may not be z51 sized. Hence they may have been replaced, and someone went with non drilled, isntead of the cross drilled z51 oem units.

As for inexpressive rotors, is really a crap shoot if they where machine true or not to start with, so keep that in mind if you are shopping for cheap ebay units.

As for ceramic pads that don't cost a arm and leg, the Duralast ceramic pads from auto zone are not a arm and leg to buy, but will give up some initial bite and over all feed back then say a Performance pad instead.

The 2010 F55 included the larger J55 (Z51) rotors.

For pads take a look at the Carbotech 1521.

The Carbotech Bobcat 1521™ is our high performance street compound that is our most successful compound. The Bobcat compound is known for its awesome release and modulation, along with unmatched rotor friendliness. Like our AX™ & XP™ line of compounds, Bobcat 1521™ is a Ceramic based friction material offering minimal rotor damage and non-corrosive dust. Bobcat 1521™ offers outstanding performance, even when cold, low dusting and low noise with an excellent initial bite. This compound’s virtually perfect linear torque production provides incredible braking force without ABS intervention. Bobcat 1521™ operating range starts out at ambient and goes up to 900°F. Bobcat 1521™ is suitable for ALL street cars, perfect for your tow vehicle, police cruiser. The Bobcat 1521™ compound has been found to last two-three times longer than OE pads you can purchase at a dealership or national retailer. That’s one of the beauties of Carbotech Ceramic brake compounds. Bobcat 1521™ is NOT recommended for any track use.

Step Tech Sport drilled rotor with Centric PosiQuiet ceramic pads.
All available at KNS a supporting vendor.

The rotors are a drilled and coated rotor that won't ruse on the edges and center of the brake disc.
