Default Instrument Cluster ? For The Pros

I'm looking to see if all year of C6 Instrument cluster are interchangeable? Mine works part of the time and other times is bltzing out. I also would like to add Heads up to my car at some point and wondering if this impacts the cluster I buy. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I don't have a definitive answer, but from looking through the parts catalogs it appears the instrument clusters are differentiated by gauge markings (i.e. Z06 logo, KPH speedo, etc.) but not by the presence/absence of the HUD.

There are different part numbers for different year ranges, suggesting electrical differences introduced in certain model years. 2005s were unique to that year, 2006-2008 were different, I don't know about 2009, and 2010-2011 were all different again.

Will it fit, yes, but may not have the correct markings of the model its in.

As for the mileage, that is stored in both the ECM and the dash gauge cluster independently, so when you swap the gauge clutch in in a car, will need to re-flash the gauge cluster so it showing the correct mileage of the actual car (what the ecm is reading).

I hate to say this but .... there are so many things that could cause that other than the cluster itself

I would start with the connector that is plugged into the cluster , its real easy to get to , I would unplug it , clean it real good with contact cleaner and then plug it back in , make sure you check the harness also

Yep, and would go on farther, and check the board for cold solder joints that need to be re-soldered as well.
