I added 4 slotted rotors pkg (with a box of brake pads) to my cart. I put in my Zip code and there's additional shipping. My question is: If I buy a slotted individual / each rotor, shipping is free! But when I buy a set of 4 same rotors as a pkg (with a box of pads), then there's shipping? How's that?

Yes my site cannot keep the free shipping items separate so once it sees a shipping item it charges to ship all items. It's a fix in progress.

Here it is if you didn't check it out. The T2 rotors are highly discounted but only while supplies last and you get even further discounts on the pads when you order the package.
