Default ecs fuel system help

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if some one can give me a little advice/help

Im in the process of installing a ECS stage 1 fuel system on my 2007 vette.
Im having issues connecting to the factory fuel line. The kit comes with a block that connects between 2 fuel lines right next to the fuel tank. the problem im having is the lower line is to short. To connect the lower line to the adaptor block, i have to push the block to far up to get it to connect but then the ecs fuel line wont fit between the frame and the tank.

Has anyone else ran into this issue? what did you end up doing?

I did have the same issue but it was a few months back so I cant remember exactly how I managed it. I didn't have to buy anything else though. I just layed under there and worked with it for a while until I got it to work. I remember thinking I was going to break something but I finally got it.

It is a bit tricky to get that damn push-loc tee connector connected into the factory fuel line and then get the 90* hose end screwed on to it. I found the best way to work on that was to take the bolts out of the fuel tank shield/pan, which holds the tank up into the body of the car, which then allowed the tank to drop down by about 1.5-2”, and that helped. I also realized that the factory fuel line needs to be tucked inside of the lip of the fuel tank shield.
The 90* hose end literally just barely fits into the space between the tank and the frame, when you tighten the tank shield bolts down and the tank goes back up into position. Here’s a few photos of what it looks like when it’s installed. Hope this helps.

Guys,
Thank you for the feed back, its good to know i'm not the only one who is fighting that fuel line "adaptor".
Thankyou for the pictures, after taking your advice and memorizing your pictures i was finaly able to get it all connected.
For a while i wasn't sure they sent me the correct kit and i had to stretch the lower line to get it in position, thought i was going to brake it. Fortunately it did have enough give.
You were right there really is absolutely no room to spare but its in there.
thanks again!
