fuel pump 2008 C6
The drivers tank has an actual fuel pump in it, while the passengers tank uses a veturi pump that is driven from the fuel pump pressure in the drivers tank.
Since the fuel is used out of the passenger tank first, then the drivers tank last, its the fuel level sensor in the passenger tank that is often the one that will go bad first. If the car is left with the fuel gauge under half full most of the time, this leave the fuel sensor in the passenger tank dry, and will cause it to corrode/wear out the swiper arms even faster.
