Good deal, fair deal or bad deal?
I just received a quote of 2400.00 to provide parts and labor to install an Air Raid CAI system, TSP 304 SS 1 7/8 headers with mild exhaust and last but not least tuned. That is an out the door price. Good deal, fair deal or bad deal. Thanks for your input.

that's about $1100 in parts.a tune is usually $500-$600. so the labor is $700-$800.
the intake is something anyone can install and might take 30 minutes if you've never done one.so is it worth it to you to pay $700 to have the exhaust installed?it's about a 3 hour install with a lift.

That price is not outrageous, I would say that is a fair deal, tough to install headers on jack stands by yourself....a lift is the way to go at the shop

I just had an axle back exhaust put on. 90 minutes. $150. Worth it to me. If I had a lift to work on I would have preferred to do it myself but it is what it is.

I don’t know that it’s outrageous or not but could be in the ballpark if you’re comfortable with them. May be worth shopping around to find out.

Just for reference, when I was in my late 60's, I installed headers, X-pipe, converted Z06 mufflers to 2 1/2" pipe, added a Vararam, a high stall converter, a ported TB, a trans cooler, and a full under the carpet insulation kit, all on jackstands in my garage with no help. I hadn't done anything serious with cars for over 20 years and had no metric tools at the time. If you're halfway mechanically inclined, the experience of doing your own work is far greater then the money you'll save.
BTW, if you want a CAI, get a Vararam. there is no equal.
