Default AC Warm on Driver Side But Cool for Passenger

A while ago I had this odd problem where the driver side of my 2007 Corvette blew warm air from the A/C but the passenger side was always cooler. I searched here on the forum and YouTube for any ideas. I tried pulling out the relevant fuses but that did not work. I took it to the dealer where it turned out that it was leaking Freon from the seal in one of the lines. Since then it has been perfect.

I wanted to post this in case any one has the same problem in the future.

Interesting, I have the same problem on my 2007. Not a dramatic difference in temperature, but the driver's side is always warmer.
thanks for the post

My C5 did that and it was low on Freon also.

I'm glad it has helped some people. I meant to include that my mechanic told me that the passenger side remains colder because it is closer to the line. He said it in a more technical manner but that was the general meaning he gave me.

I had problems with my ac twice last year. Each time the driver's side was warmer as you described. Turns out I had a Freon leak. If the pressure is not at the exact level needed, then it can affect the compressor output even if there is Freon in the system. So each time they recharged it, the ac was ice could for a while then it would happen again. Turns out my condensor had a small leak. Got it fixed and has been perfect ever since.

That's a sign that the A/C needs to be recharged. You can get a simple bottle at an autoparts store. Pretty easy to do. $20 and 20 minutes.
