Fuel Door Actuator Spring Fix for $0.99!
Hello everyone!
So, yesterday, I went to the gas station to feed the beast. I fueled it up, and when I went to close the fuel door, nope! The plunger was stuck in the pushed in position, so I drove home, looking like a fool with the door open.
I got home, pulled the wheel off, pulled the liner to get access to the actuator, and just as I suspected, the spring was rusted to crap. I went to the hardware store, bought a 99 cent spring, trimmed it to fit, installed it, and now the Vette is fixed!
If this happens to you, and your actuator still works, you can do the same, and save some $$$$$ for stuff that is more fun!
I hope this helps someone out!

Good video, but pack the new spring with layer of grease, since it will prevent it from rusting up as well in time; to snap down the line like the old spring as well.
