They were good when made in USA. Once manufacturing was moved to
Mexico nothing but problems.

Don't get me wrong I wanted to believe too... But failing in such a short time frame... Maybe it was a fluke.. Well see since they replaced it.. But if it happens again. I won't buy another..

Literally I have 6 failed ones in my garage from over the years. All my cores are about to head to interstate batteries for a little $
If Optima is such a bad battery why in the world did you keep buying them?

if you could call it luck, i went back to pepboys where i got the battery and luckily found my receipt..
they tested it with there tester and got 90CA, they swapped it out for me, 3 year replacement warranty,
it onl y lasted about 16 months... so the battery issue is at least done for now,

i hooked up a meter to the battery and waited 30 minutes to make sure all systems were asleep, and the the craw was 34 milliamps, so theres no parasitic draw at least other than normal i would think.
but i found another..yje passenger side window is still sticking in the up position, if i give it a little help down , it goes down
i think the window regulator is telling me its on its way out
would you guys agree with that
Did you re-index the windows? You have to do that any time the battery is disconnected.

Optima doesn’t offer a battery for the new diesel trucks

wasnt a new truck. I own 2 12 valve Cummins rams. One truck had 2 in it, even though these truck are just fine with running 1 battery where I live.

CTEKs will charge a deeply discharged AGM like Optimas. If I recall, they will recognize a 12v battery as low as 1v. Most automatics are lost below 6v. If you have a regular automatic charger that is AGMs capable and will not charge, put another good battery in parallel just until it gets over 6v and it should stick (if it is still actually good). CTEK 7200s are great chargers. They work great on every auto battery.
