Default Oil Pressure acting funny.

All of a sudden my pressure at start up is 40-45 and when I get on it a little bit it goes to 60-65. I was thinking maybe the oil sending unit but after checking older posts It seems if you have a bad sending unit it tends to peg at 80. Can you have a bad oil sending unit that acts like mine? Maybe a clogged oil filter? Any insight would be appreciated. My car is a 2008.

It was at 30 at start up and never went above 50 at WOT
Also wife said there was a DIC warning that pressure was at 43.
what ever that means.

normal pressure at cold start usually at 50 psi and rising with rpm.once warm my pressure at 4,000 + rpm would be over 70 psi with stock oil pump
