Default 6 months later and...it's alive

If someone told me it would take 6 months to finish doing heads and other stuff to my 2007 z06 i would have said they were crazy, i'm not THAT SLOW. Well apparently I am. I started tearing the heads off in May to send them off to AHP and between getting them back, ordering parts, installing said parts ( sometimes a few times ), a surgery, wifes medical problems, some home improvements and just didn't feel like working on the car, i got it running right before Thanksgiving and then taken to the dyno facility yesterday.
so, here's the rundown on what I did to the car:
AHP package 4 cylinder head package
AHP moldstar90 valve guides
Ferrea F2042 hollow SS exhaust valves
stock titanium intake valves treated and polished
high velocity street porting
mill cylinder heads .030
BTR dual valve springs w/titanium retainers
AHP 112 Cam Kit: 231/.648 intake, 244/.646 exhaust
GM lifters
Pushrods
C5R Timing Chain
Upper/lower sprockets
CHE Rockers trunions (installed)
Porting of Stock LS7Intake Manifold
Porting of Stock LS7 Throttle Body
Head Install Kit: GM MLS
Kooks 1 7/8 SS headers w/cats, x-pipe
DeWitts radiator w/fan kit
Callaway Honker intake
LG GT2 coil over shocks
AFE power control arm bushing kit
Heim Joints: front/rear toe rods, front/rear sway bar links
Various Kent Moore tools
and probably a few things that i have forgotten
car was lowered to 25 3/4" to front fender well lip and 27 1/2" to rear fender well lip
Alignment to factory specs. will get the bump steer and corner balance set this coming spring

And how for the results: 556 rwhp, 484 rwtq

The shop manager really liked the car so he took a video of the last dyno run and then a photo shoot of the car. he will send me all the photos and video in a couple days and i will post them here.
Thank you to all the forum threads that i pirated to walk me through the disassembly and assembly of this project. Without them I would probably still be wrenching on this, probably again and again, exen more than what i already did.

Sounds like you did just a tiny bit more than the heads, eh? That's a lot of work. I'm the same way, it took me 5mo to rebuild supercharger, replace harmonic balancer, t-stat and SC bracket.
I tell myself I'll do it on the weekends and then find myself asleep or out of town. Whoops.

If you think about it .... Your stock 505 HP Z06 looses about 13% HP through the M6 drivetrain ... That would give it about 439 RWHP on the Dynojet when bone stock.

Now your at 556 RWHP .... Your engine mods got you about a +117 RWHP increase.

Helluva good gain !

Sleazy - Just wanted to thank you for posting this. Been searching around for a couple days looking or dyno numbers for this head/cam combination.

Going with AHPs package 4 heads milled .030.

Trying to decide between ;

AHP 112
Cammotion Titan 3
BTR2
BTR 3
K501

The 112 seems to be a pretty good compromise with solid low/mid range torque and a decent top end.

Thanks again

That is one hell of a torque curve. Doesn't drop below 400 Lb-Ft from 1500 rpm up to 7000 rpm. Damn.

now, if i can just drive it. the morning after the tune i started out to meet some of the guys for breakfast and it started acting up, wouldn't shift and ground going into 2nd so i turned around and put it back in the garage. it was acting like the clutch had exploded as it was grabbing while in neutral, either the clutch or the torque tube so i am going to put in a new clutch and rebuild the torque tube. the kids gto was on the lift trying to get it finished before he left for marine corps ocs in quantico, va on 05 jan2019..but that didn't happen. then the lift started acting up so i had to take it down and rebuild it, just got that finished yesterday and then put the z on it. it was making a lot of racket while idling and surprised that i was actually able to drive it onto the lift. now to start the process of rebuilding and replacing.
