If you think the problem might be your nav unit, you could buy a used one on eBay and try it out. The 2005-2010 nav units are going for about $300 and you could re-sell it, if it doesn't fix the problem.

If the nav disc causes this, why does the radio need refurbished ? A new disc is cheaper than $450 although I have the latest disc in my car. And what happens if he "refurbishes" the radio and you use the same disc, would the problem not come back ?
And why now? My battery was disconnected and re- connected multiple times while in the body shop as i mentioned earlier. No issues with the clock. The issue started 2 weeks ago or so.

For about $450, I would go with an aftermarket radio from Crutchfield that retains the Bose amp and the steering wheel functions. Problem solved. i am just trying to keep my interior factory stock. That's all.

Yep same here. I'd prefer to upgrade to the 2011-2013 nav unit, if clock is now broken on all 2005-2010's, but works on the 2011-2013. We need more info.

Just to add more data/info to this thread, I went out and checked my 2006 with Nav and the time displays correctly.

Problem doesn't start until you disconnect the battery, you'd have to do that to test it.

If you disconnect your battery for few minutes, upon re-connection, you have to make sure the car is outside and in the line of site of the satellites and wait til the GPS slash goes away on the nav screen. This is when supposedly the clock should sync back on.

I have an appointment with Beaty on Parkside Dr. at 9:30 in the morning. I noticed you are in Maryville. Are you able to meet me there at 9:30 ? Two cars are better than one. PM me if you can go.

2 hours in acc mode will kill the battery. We never had to do that before anyway.....

Found this tidbit in an old GM document. Unfortunately, I do not have access to the bulletin ... no idea if it is related (other than it is related to Denso nav systems in GM vehicles).

"Is the concern for the radio clock not appearing? Did Corporate Bulletin Number 08-08-44-002A Navigation Radio Clock and/or Clock Tab Do Not Appear or Disappears
Intermittently, Split Screen, Points of Interest or an Exit List Appears While Driving, Text Color May Be Difficult to See change the condition"

If somebody goes to a dealer, maybe they have access to it.
