2021 C6 of the Year Finalist - Modified
Or ... just change out the head unit.
Get a Kenwood with the built-in Garmin nav ...

very nice telephone conversation today with GM Canada. they are tracking. also - there is no doubt that my gyros are serviceable as the mapping does track as expected - the diagnostic screen shows blank for lat/long/time.

If you don't have a Nav Radio head you should be able to set your clock! Yes 1024/52=19.69 Years which rolls over April 6, 2019 so I don't get what he is referring too. Can anyone with a 2005-10 Nav Head and clock working please check the date by tapping the time in upper right hand corner once? Is it correct?

2010 GS Nav clock returned this afternoon!
I just noticed my 2010 NAV clock is back! So happy. I was literally on the verge of getting a stick-on LCD clock!
maybe it's a coincidence but yesterday I was frustrated with the clock situation and was messing around with the clock settings screen by clicking back & forth on 12hr/24hr buttons and the few other buttons that would work.
Then today the nav clock came back suddenly.
The time zone and the hour was wrong but the minutes were correct.
I was able to go back into the settings and fix both. I hope it stays.
If I ever disconnect the battery I'll use a 12-volt source in future.
Hopefully this info will help others...

The thing I'm wondering about if using a 12V source to keep the power on when disconnecting the battery, is what to do when disconnecting the battery for safety when working on the car? I guess you could keep the car powered with a 12V source, then disconnect the fuse to whatever area of the car you're working on?

I have a 2005, the date and time in GPS Information appears to be correct as does the regular clock date, and I haven't disconnected by battery since before the roll over. Should the roll over have changed the date whether the battery is disconnected or not, as the 1024 weeks have been reached and the date would in effect start over or just get screwed up?
Needless to say, if you disconnect power, it will probably never have the right date again(if it comes back).
