2011 Dead Battery
New battery (3 weeks old) drove to the airport and was gone for 2 weeks and returned to a dead battery. Jumped it off and drove home and bought the trickle charger and it took 24 hours for it to show green. Has stayed green ever since only be off charge 2 days since and cranked. Is it common for the newer vette batteries to go dead so quick?
Thanks,
Rance

It's possible you got a dud battery, my 1 Year failure/return rate for Interstates was 18% in 2015 (total sold was 182, probably 10% of those were just user error though, so in my opinion you're looking to expect ~10% failure rate).
These cars are also known for having fairly poor ground connections that can cause parasitic draw and kill a battery quickly, this forum has a good bit of information on things you can do/check first. You should be able to crank for quite a while off of a strong battery, at least ~1-3 months depending on a few factors.such as options {OnStar is pretty notorious for heavy draw)/mods/storage conditions. .
