First the rod pulled out of the master cylinder piston
after fixing that, now the master cylinder un twists itself and pushes through the firewall

anyone got a fix for that

If the reservoir for the clutch fluid is white then you have the old master cylinder if it is black then that's the new cylinder. Sooooo if you have the old one order the new one and install it either way you will need to remove left front wheel, inner fender well liner, and windshield washer bottle and replace the cylinder in the firewall. Myself, I would not do all that without replacing the clutch master cylinder no matter which one I had. The hardest part of the job is getting the hydraulic line quick disconnect back together.

mine is on the right side as its right hand drive

yes the cap fell off internal, removed and cleaned and fitted a O ring to stop it coming off again and fitted dot 4 fluid

then it unscrewed from the bracket so fitted some metal clips to stop it unlocking

it works at present but it is the white reservoir

I will order the new replacement and fit regardless as I no longer trust the one I have

Right hand drive? Can you post pics of the car and the location of the components? I was unaware that there are any c6 Grandsport right hand drive vehicles.

GM TSB-#14717--PIP-5037

https://gm.oemdtc.com/4335/clutch-ac...rolet-corvette

Hence if car is less than 10 years old, and has the master cylinder problem, Gm will replace the master cylinder in the car for free with a new upgraded master cylinder.

On the older clutch masters, the end plunger would pop off to cause a dead pedal, and the new master solves this problem.

Don't sell yourself short...you have GM dealers down under? If yes there are two extended warranties on the clutch master cylinder that run into late into 2021 and up to 120k miles.

At least check it out...

Does anyone know what year vehicle the new model went on from the factory OR is it in the entire C6 run from 2005-2013?
