2005 M6 doing Z06 fuel pump do i need upgraded wiring?
Been looking around for a fuel pump upgrade, from what I found 19354670 is the way to go. Car has 70k on the stock pump, it's had a KB BAP for most of that. Car has a MP112 3.1/IW10% OD, Alky control, about to add ARH 1 7/8 headers and a BTR PDS Stage 2 cam/springs. Figure I don't want to drive 7 hours to my tuner to find out the car is out of fuel, so my question is. For those that upgrade to Z06 pump, is the wiring sufficient? I was looking around on Racetronix site (also called but they were no help) and saw 2 wiring harnesses they say is mandatory when running a booster such as the KB BAP, although I have yet to come across any wiring upgrades mentioned in any post when a base C6 car is upgraded to a Z06 pump. Thanks in advance.

The pump assemblies look identical, though the Z06 pump runs a little bit louder. I've put maybe 80-100K miles on it.
Both 2005 and 2006 Coupes share part numbers for the original fuel pump (19133432) and the fuel pump harness (25874349), so if the Z06 pump works in my car, it will probably work in yours. For whatever it's worth.
If you're replacing your fuel level sender, which attaches to the pump, make sure to get the right one. The sender resistance range was reversed in 2007. If you put a late sender on an early car, your fuel gauge won't work properly and you'll have to either drop the tanks again or have the car tuned.

I had the oem fuel pump replaced in my 2008 base coupe with the Z06 fuel pump 4 1/2 years ago. It was a plug and play and no issues. I also have a BAP for the A&A kit with no Ractronix. The BAP has it's own built in voltage regulator and 40 amp fuse.

Melting Slicks
Harness will handle it...
I went from a stock ‘11 grand sport stock pump to a 450 Walbro using oem harness zero issues, if I was going to change the pump I would go straight to the 450 Walbro and maybe remove the bap.
