So i tried starting my 2007 c6 corvette a6 tonight and it appears to have died shortly after i moved it. I tried to get back in to restart the car and it wont even let me back in. The whole car is dead and neither fob works.
Now this seems open/shut as a battery or alternator problem but the thing is i had a check engine light for throttle position. (Cant remember code as the car is dead.) I was told this would not cause the car to completely die though with no way of getting into it. Is this true? I cant check battery voltage tonight but ill be sure to in the morning. The car has been running just fine the past month after a spark plug change but it seems to be lifeless now.
I had this happen out of the blue and it was teh negative terminal lost the nut after I bought the car and drove it 400+ miles home. I would start with the battery and work back... the FOBs are known to be problematic, but usually you get dash lights and "no FOB detected" error... if you are getting no dash lights or door flood lights, i would start at the battery and work back, as you were going to do.
