These are hard to asses without being there but obviously it's something that's driven by the serpentine belt. You're just going to have to stick your ears down there find it. Buy a cheap stethoscope at harbor freight or use a wooden handle, metal pipe, whatever and start listening.
Does it make the noise at idle? If so you can always take the belt off and spin items by hand / feel if your not comfortable with the engine running.
It would make it easier for us if you took a walkaround video in the engine comparment with it running and post to YT.
Thanks. I did some research and sprayed some water on one of the grooved pulleys and the squeaking stopped for a few seconds. Picking up a main drive belt tomorrow, crossing fingers!
ok - new belt is in. I was a bit hesitant b/c the old belt looked pretty good and newish. Sounded good for about 30 seconds, I was pretty excited. However, it soon started squeaking again and even worse, there is a weird clicking sound which got louder as I revved. Damn, what the heck did I do? Belt is on nicely. Here is a short vid of my HB.....looks like it's wobbling, but also looks true as it spins when gauging it against the bottom of the engine plate. Don't want to drive it now.....ugh!
FWIW If it is not the belt slipping on pullies, perhaps the tensioners.
PS Is there a second belt for AC or PS?
Remove the belt, inspect the tensioners bearings eg bearing tension and feel. Remove the tensioners if need be.
You could try to spray the tensioner shaft w/ WD40 before removal, but I would remove the serpentine and inspect by hand first.
Good luck.
