Service charging system message
I am currently working on a 2007 Corvette Convertible, 6.0L, auto where the alternator went bad and was totally charred. Replaced the alternator, which repaired the charging rate, but it shorted out the ECM as well. Although charging fine, the check engine light immediately sets a code PO621. After performing the proper diagnostics I programmed and replaced the ECM. This solved the hard code being reset, but the service charging message intermittently re-appears on and off while driving. It is very intermittent but even though the message appears now there is no codes being set. I had installed a pro charger and tune a few years ago as additional information. I can not seem to find the cause of this very intermittent message. Any help would be appreciated.

There is a thread from a week or so ago stating that a certain brand alternator has a tendency of bringing up the "service charging system" alarm.
