Really, send the money, will do it real quick, but if you research the weight thingie , auto manufactures did this for years to stop/ limit drone, and there are post by real car guys who have done the weight thing , but was looking to see if any Vette guys have experimented with the weights

You can buy a system, such as Corsa, which advertises no drone. ( By the way, I have a Corsa exhaust and I have no drone. )
"nobucks" is correct. The drone you are describing is due to the harmonic resonance of the exhaust system.
All the aspects of: (generally speaking)
exhaust pipe length
metal gauge
exhaust pulses (rpm)
nodal points (hanger location)
weight location (stock - there are no weights on the pipes) at non-nodal points will reduce may/will change or reduce the drone at a specific frequency
will affect the drone you experience.
I might have left out a few, but based on the solutions the aftermarket provides, it is the mitigation of the resonance of the exhaust pulses that provides the largest benefit. (I do not have first-hand knowledge of exhaust system design, but my response is based on what I have learned in my classes.)
