Does anyone know a source for just the pin to these kits? Are all the kits the same? I see them ranging in price from $49 on ebay to $125 @ summit and other places. Looks like to me you buy the thing and use it once unless you do a lot of LS motors.
Reason I'm asking is my buddy has a kit and said I could use it all I need is a pin. he says they all use the same size dowel pin. What's the skinny on this guys?

They are usually used for pinning when you purchase a Supercharger Kit and they come along with the kit -
The dowel is 1/4" and stainless steel, once you pin the crank you usually are one and done. You can use your buddies kit to pin your crank on your motor and save yourself some funds, all you will need is the pin and a good and sharp drill bit. Please make sure you do not go to deep when you drill. See if you can purchase a pin somewhere or hopefully your buddy has an extra one. If you make your own make sure you have the ends chamfered.
