Default Crank / dampner Pinning kits

Does anyone know a source for just the pin to these kits? Are all the kits the same? I see them ranging in price from $49 on ebay to $125 @ summit and other places. Looks like to me you buy the thing and use it once unless you do a lot of LS motors.
Reason I'm asking is my buddy has a kit and said I could use it all I need is a pin. he says they all use the same size dowel pin. What's the skinny on this guys?
Thanks in advance

They are usually used for pinning when you purchase a Supercharger Kit and they come along with the kit -

The dowel is 1/4" and stainless steel, once you pin the crank you usually are one and done. You can use your buddies kit to pin your crank on your motor and save yourself some funds, all you will need is the pin and a good and sharp drill bit. Please make sure you do not go to deep when you drill. See if you can purchase a pin somewhere or hopefully your buddy has an extra one. If you make your own make sure you have the ends chamfered.

Here is a good ATI crank pinning video that will help with measurements and good principles that are involved:

Thanks,Matt

i personally didn't like the ATI pin kit even with my ATI balancer.... would go with the "crank bolt pin" next time over the "sideways ATI pin".....

I just pick up a piece of steel rod at Lowe’s and cut it down after I ran out the original pins in the kit. I’ve never had any issues
