Anyone running a CF hood without heat shield?
Anderson said it’s required. Looks crappy when installed but only with hood up of course. I don’t want to ruin a $1800 hood but just curious who’s running one without the shielding and how’s it holding up

I have the factory carbon fiber B92 hood which has no heat shielding. I run uncoated headers as well, no issues so far. Still a show quality finish under the hood. I'm not sure if the Anderson hood is built differently, though.

I've seen several cars at the track, using various vented hoods, including Anderson. None have heat shielding. Moreover, most drivers pop the hood when back in the paddock to let heat escape anyway...so there's that...
