2007 C6 shuts off while driving
i have a 07 c6 with the 6speed auto that shut off on me leaving my house and later while driving at about 65mph. everything goes dark including headlights, stereo etc. i’ve noticed that within the last week that my apple carplay, sub and radar detector will shut off but it would come immediately right back on without the engine stalling but that is no longer the case. wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar to this.

First thing that comes to mind is a faulty crank sensor…watch the video…this can also be MANY things…you can either change a bunch of parts or take it to a shop like in the video that uses a labscope…the only thing is this shop is one in a thousand !!..you will need a scan tool that can scan ALL modules to help diagnose this too for any DTC’s.

As we like to say on the BMW forum, it's the battery. It's always the battery.
If you're losing all infotainment, then it's not just the engine (crank sensor) but electrical. Very likely a loose connection to the battery or alternator or BDC.
