Please, GM doesn't underrate?!!! I had a 1998 TransAm WS6 with a 320hp rating from GM. It dyno'd 298rwhp bone STOCK!! Several of my buddies had either TransAms or Camaros with the 305hp rating and they all dyno'd in the high 290rwhp rnage and one broke 300rwhp with a 302rwhp pull bone stock! This rating came about because the Vette was 345hp and GM wanted it to be king just like they want the current Z06 to be king. The LS2 is going dyno in the high 370 to mid 380rwhp range, showing GM underrating it by 5 to 10% IMO. There was very little need to underrate the Z06.

GM clearly under rated the LS1 F-bodies and it looks like they under rated the 99 and up LS1 Corvettes as well. :yesnod:
