you are correct they did do alot of development work for gm . but not many people know they were hired by gm to do this work.

As I recall, the Mallett's did some of the development work for the C6, under contract to GM. Their general tendancy to superchargers makes the 500 HP number quite credible and I would wonder if that is how the next Z06 is going to make its power?

I put my name down on the list to get one of the first C6 Mallett Hammer Corvettes and the "base" Hammer package is supposed to get 500HP without a supercharger. They change the heads, lifters, headers, etc. to get to 500HP so I'm guessing this is a hint at what the new Z06 will have as stock (i.e. no supercharger).
