Default Information concerning Cruise In V! Please READ!

The Corvette Forum Cruise - In is less than 4 months away. With this event we expect a much larger turnout than we have had in years past. There have been a number of changes to our events in an effort to get better feedback, make them new and more interesting and to accommodate the greatest number of participants effectively. This thread is to inform you of those new guidelines, policies, registration information, etc. Feel free to ask any questions.

Registration will be availanle within the next couple weeks. It is not online yet.

If you wish to participate in the activities at the Baymont you will need to contact Roscoe. The functions that Roscoe is putting on is not included or affilliated with the Corvette Museum. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=734146

The Corvette Museum has a new database that will ease various aspects of registration process for the participant and for the NCM Staff. Each person must SEPERATLY register. When registering do the registration for yourself and then for your guest on a separate form, this will not only control NCM Member and Non-Member pricing but when the new software is fully installed, you will get your registration number and charge verification back immediately. In the past NCM Events we have had nonmembers riding on the coat tails of NCM Members. This is not fair for those who pay to be a NCM Member. Note that when you call in to register we must go through exactly what you do on line. Our on line system is set up as a secure site so there is no additional safety inherent in calling in to register.

You can find NCM Membership info at http://www.corvettemuseum.com

When registering be sure you enter the name EXACTLY the way you would like it to appear on the badge. If you enter “John Doe” then the nametag says John Doe. If you enter john doe, the name will be the exact way it is entered. Be sure you double check this. Double check all information before you submit your registration.

When registering for the Drag Racing or Autocross you must pre-register for it. You will NOT be able to pay at Beech Bend’s gates. You will be turned away. You will also notice that the cost for Drag Racing and Autocross has gone up. The reason for this is due to the NCM having to pay race insurance. Beech Bend no longer provides this at no charge to us. We have been requested by Beech Bend to handle the registration and collection of the fees even though they are a pass through to us and paid over to Beech Bend. On the plus side we can make sure that only event registrants get to participate which may reduce overall attendance but give those who do attend time for additional passes. We have found that in the past non registrants were taking up slots in both drags and autocross and in some cases were named trophy winners. This is not fair to our supporters who register for an event.

When at the event you must wear your nametag when at the NCM and the different NCM functions. If you show up at Beech Bend and signed up for the Drags or Autocross and forgot your nametag, you will not be able to race. We have to keep a tighter control over this due to insurance and legal reasons. If you wish to attend a seminar at the NCM you will be required to wear a nametag. If you are not a registered participant you will not be admitted to the seminar (no exceptions).

The NCM is going to be giving away a new nametag. This is MUCH different from the nametags we have had in the past. ONLY pre-registered participants will get this badge. If you register onsite you will get the old style paper badge and will find that you have to deal with activity tickets and even miss out on some of the activities as well. You will find an image of what the badge will look like at

Thanks Adam for the effort you put into this. Is there a chance that we'll get to make more than 3 passes at the Autocross? I will probably skip it this time unless we can make more passes. They wrap it up by 11:30 am. I see no reason it couldn't last longer so we can drive more.

We have an allotted time that we can use Beech Bend for. Typically it is noon. We HAVE to be out of there the day of the autox by that time. The cost is a cost that is given to Beech Bend the NCM makes nothing off of those 2 beech bend activities.

Thanks Adam. I never suspected that the NCM made any money from the activities at Beach Bend. And if they did, that would be fine with me. I am a NCM supporter (member, brick owner). I would be more than willing to pay double to stay twice as long at the autocross. Once again, those of us who attend the cruise-ins appreciate your efforts.
