Default Need help problems on new motor.

I installed a new motor and now have about 700 miles on it. I upgraded the injectors and was ready for the tuner. When we noticed that Cyl.#1 had a miss. On pulling out the plug, a noticeable amount of oil was on the threads. We checked the other cyl's and discovered Cyl's #3, 5, & 7 had oil on the threads, however, not as much as # 1 - All others were clean.
We did a compression test and found all the cylinders were between 175 to 180 psi. Next a leak down test was completed on the #1 cylinder. The first gage reads 90 psi and the second gage reads 82psi. We could hear some air leaking through the crankcase. I wasn't able to complete a leak down with a warm motor; we have the intake off for modification.
So far the motor has not used any oil, nor does it smoke. Where is the oil coming from? The motor is a LS1 in a 02 SS Camaro. The motor was built for nitrous to be used at some point and has 3901size pistons and a 3906 bore.

Need help please???

This forum addresses tech questions about the new C6. Since your motor is probably not in a C^, you'd be better off going onto one of the other forums where people who own similar cars are on-line.

Good luck with your problem.
