I just bought a set of BFG tires, the BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW-2, to be exact. The "2" is a Tire Rack designation to identify it as the newer generation (apparently both are still in production). Anyway, I bought them as an interim solution to my wheel/tire problem, since I had to do something before an upcoming track school. I had a chance to drive them aggressively for the first time today, and was generally favorably impressed. In dry conditions, they seem to stick about as well as the OE Goodyear Supercar runflats. And, since it was wet here yesterday, and cool today (35), I can say they are definitely better in the wet, and cold, than the runflats. So, for not much more that half the price, I am satisfied until I can get different wheels and Michelin PS2s all around. One warning, these tires are a bit noisy now, and I expect they will get worse with wear. But, it you are not too sensitive to the noise, it seems like a pretty good tire for the cost.
I'm glad to hear that you hooked up with some decent tires...I'm not looking forward to getting new tires and my recent run around Laguna Seca didn't improve the longevity of the current set of tires...
Don't Forget The Kumho Tires Are Suppose To Be Good Also

Short update. I drove these tires some more today. I know of one place where it is safe to corner hard and glance at the G meter (usually keep the HUD off). I have no idea how accurate the thing is, but it was giving the same .92 reading I usually got on the Goodyear Supercar runflats. That was with Active Handling in CM, and it didn't kick in, but I know it was about at the limit. So, except for living with the noise a while, it looks like these tires are going to perform as well as the more costly Goodyears. And maybe they will last longer than 5K miles.
