Yes they are still availabe and us I'm still in business. I'm usually in the C5 section as we have a lot of C5 parts. I should have some carbon C6 interior pieces soon as well.

I think it would look good. If you didn't like it you could always have it painted as well and leave some carbon exposed.

is it possible to cut the opening on the bottom of the hood and the rear of the cowl out for more heat extraction?

Yes, but the fiberglass version needs some sanding and prep work to get it perfectly straight for paint (ie, remove some of the waviness from the fiberglass) Which is why I prefer the carbon.
