Introducing myself - new z06 owner
Just wanted to introduce myself to this great forum. I took delivery of my '07 VY Z06 just a few days ago and have been learning a lot more about my car from reading all the threads here.
My other current car is a Supra turbo (to be sold) and I just sold my '87 Testarossa. Before that I owned an NSX. This is my second Corvette, I had an '85 Z51 some years back.
My initial impressions are that this is by far the best car I have ever owned. The acceleration is really addictive and the road handling is fabulous. For a light car it does not feel particularly light but the solidity of the ride and neutral responsiveness inspires confidence.
Here's hoping my roof doesn't fall off.

Welcome to the forums and congratulations! Your initial impressions mirror what mine were. My experience with the car improves with time. My wife tells me I wear a constant grin while driving this car.

Thanks for the welcome everyone! I've been discovering all sorts of accessories I can't live without.
Here in CA you will eventually get nabbed for not displaying a front plate. You can't get away with it forever, it's really only a matter of time. The thought of drilling holes into the front of the car to install that awful stock license plate bracket was unthinkable. I ordered that Top Flight Reproductions removeable bracket. I haven't received it yet but it looks like a great solution.
The CAGS has gotten me a few times in slow traffic so I got one of those disablers from ZIP Products then some Race Ramps to lift up the car so I can install it and later work on the car myself. It goes on and on. Brute Industries was great and gave my the group buy price on the ramps thanks to my membership in this forum.
Loving the car more and more everyday.

Pat welcome! You started off with a GREAT car! Start a post or message any one of us if you have a question. Also the search feature is a great tool if you suspect a topic may already have been covered.
