I take it that means fenders, doors, hood, hatch, rear valence etc.? Out of curiosity, did they give you any sense of how much weight it would save?

Wow, I'll say. At those prices, I was thinking entire body panels.

Thanks for the response.

Kerry Hitt from Harrisburg,PA has carbon fiber panels. I don't have his site with me; but I'll post it when I get home tonight. Total cost is around $20,000 and savings of over 150 lbs.

The company name is Advance Composite Products. Web site is:
acproducts.us and tel # (800) 832-8624 or (717) 232-8237.

I bought the world challenge kit minus the roof. I could not live with the thought of my car being 180 lbs heavier after installing the cage and fire suppresion system, so I went for it. I did not get the roof because it's a one piece with pilars (all CF) and I wanted the extra proteccion of the factory pillars.

My car is at Phoenix Performance now, so I'll take pictures when I pick it up in one month, or you can see it on July 2-3 at VIR since I'll be there for the NCM HPDE.

PS. My car is no longer DSOM. It will be DSOM/carbon fiber black, since I plan on not painting the CF.

Just to clarify, the panels from Advance Composite Products are not just trim pieces, they are full carbon fiber and significantly lighter than OEM. The pieces from APSIS are apparently just trim; but I cannot confirm that since I have not seen them.

Apsis is not too far from my home. I went there to see their work. They are expensive, but it is the finest carbon fiber you can get. It has a very translucent look to it. They can do titanium, silver or black. If you send them a part, for instance your navigation screen should you have one, they can carbon fiber it. The problem is as you state, trim pieces...there is never an end to it. The center stack is about $3000 to $4000 alone. If you have the dough they have a really nice product. And they seem to be most accommodating. Hope this helps

It seems it would be a lot cheaper to just have the driver go on a diet! I can lose 20lbs. and probably save money on food........

Default Apsis carbon fiber

FWIW -
I bought some pieces (console and other dash pieces) from these guys and it is very high quality piece and it does appear to have a very deep clear coat. Excellent fit and finish, and a little pricey, but after looking at some of the other stuff out there I was sold. I will be looking into getting some of the other exterior pieces at a later date.

Bike (road bike) manufacturers have found ways to make complex CF forms built for strength very cheap, i.e., an entire CF frame for under $1k. Granted it's not the absolutely lightest weave available, but its pretty close and far far cheaper. Wonder when these manufacturing processes will be taken advantage of by body panel manufacturers...

I wonder how much an ultra thin titanium body panel would cost...

I agree it would be a lot cheaper. I should probably lose 40 lbs. and get back to my early 20s weight; but it would be a lot harder.
