I think my alternator is toast...
Had the battery go dead only 1 time. Keeping the Mild 2 Wild with open valves and the car in reverse seemed to cure the discharge issue.
Was setting out for a nice rode into the mountains this morning and nada - completely dead. Just ran her 5 days ago...
Jumped her and nticed a whining, almost metallic sound coming from under the hood. Checked and it sure seems to be coming from the alternator.
Additionally, the DIC voltage was bouncing rapidly between 12.9 and 13.4. Lights were flickering slightly.
Guess she'll be at the dealer shortly...9K miles on an 06, BTW.

No service charging system on the DIC...I only ran it for about 5 minutes, though. Unfortunately, I'll be out of town on business this entire week, so it's going to have to sit until Thanksgiving week. Hope it isn't something worse...
