Going crazy!!! Need a BIG driveway ramp
I know there are other posts about driveway ramps, but I need a ramp that is about as big as a sheet of plywood and 1" to 4" taper.....the city won't let us pour more concrete. I'm just going crazy pulling out all the wood it takes to get my car out and putting it back when I don't drive it or its street sweeping day plus it looks like crap... any ideas?

i use the ramp from griots, works good but i still need to pull out at an angle to prevent scraping. Driveway entrances where i am suck total *** for any vehicle that does not have the ground clearance of a 4x4.

Try popping a wheelie just before the bump! Good luck

I had this same problem. I moved and couldn't get my car up the driveway.
Here are pics of what I made:
It isn't pretty but it works....
I got these pieces of plywood precut from Lowes and they were almost exactly the length I needed to make the transition with out scraping. Good luck!

I like that . Looks like it works well . I would make something like that except if some pedestrian trips over it they might want to file a claim . That's my only concern with that .

man tat sucks! you gotta set these up EVERY time you wanna take the car out? and then stop in the street and put them away. damn
i'd hate to get caught in the rain on the way home and have to run in and set this crap up.

I don't leave them out. It put them out when I pull the car out. Then put them back in the garage. They are very light weight. If I go for a short ride I'll leave them out though. I complained to our home owners association and was going to put a couple thick pieces of sheet metal out but they wouldn't let if fly.

Have the same problem. I solved it by backing into the driveway and pulling out frontways. The size of the rears keep the car higher giving it the right clearance.

I have the same situation, the way the driveway apron is sloped for water drainage. What I do is, when pulling out of my driveway, I back out onto the street at a 45 Deg angle, an pull in at a 45 deg angle...it scrapes very very litle almost not at all...

My 02 Z06 sits higher than my 07 and it scrapped when stradling this driveway. The pictures don't do a good job of showing how steep it really is. My wifes Envoy scrapes sometimes coming out of this driveway. Alot of the time there are other cars parked on either side of the driveway so there is no way I coud stradle it anyway. My car and I'd rather not scrape. Your car go ahead and scrape. Enjoy.

Race ramps will custom make you any configuration that you need. I am going to have them make one for me so I can quite dragging plywood around.
