Nothing I can really do except call GM and get our customer service rep on it....which he is. It isn't enough money to be worth getting a lawyer. They are just a bad business and will pay in the end when they close down.

They lost all the good guys that worked there. I have spent $167,000 with them since 2002 FYI.

Wow...just wow.....I can't believe you pay this much for a vehicle and this is how they treat you and your car. I wouldn't be so certain about that cam/lifter swap either.
Really makes me sick..sorry for your problems bro...I wouldn't be able to handle it if it were my car.

That is unbelievable yet I'm not really surprised. It is unreal how business-like these dealers have become. Where are the guys that will own up to their mistakes and learn from them.

Off topic but same situation.

I was driving the wife's car and I stopped behind a school bus at a light. Suddenly, the reverse lights came on on the bus and before I knew it, she rammed into the front of the car and dragged me for a few feet.

I was fine and thankfully, there were no kids on the bus. She got out, we chatted for a second (she apologized) and I called the cops. Long story short, she changed her tune and stated that she wasn't backing up and that I came out of nowhere and hit her! Going through her insurance was futile as they hired a local adjuster/investigator and in protecting his clients (her insurance) best interests, me, at the end of the day, have to swallow it and go through our insurance and dish out the deductible.

I still don't understand the motives to not "man-up" and face your f***in' consequences for the BS your commit.

G/L and don't let those ***-bags get away with this. They obviously know they screwed the car up as the manager was apprised of the tech screwing your car up for sure. He's protecting his employee/service department.

Kick *** my friend, this BS has got to stop.

Also, before I found the damage, they tried to tell me that I might have caused the damage to the engine because I did not have a GM oil filter on the car

You do not want Chuck Hutton Chevrolet touching your car if you want it to be fixed or remain in good condition.

If you haven't already done this, make sure you report them to the BBB.

Might not help you, but every little bit helps to disgrace these scumbags.

Below is the BBB review of Chuck Hutton Chevrolet.

BBB shows 7 issues in the last 36 months, and 6 were not resolved by the consumer.

7 Resolved
1 - Company resolved the complaint issues. The consumer acknowledged acceptance to BBB.
6 - Company addressed the complaint issues. The consumer failed to acknowledge acceptance to BBB.

http://www.bbb.org/memphis/business-...emphis-tn-1327

Good luck.

We appreciate the heads up. I got my '04 Z06 there in 2004 and they were great. I almost got an '07 Z06 from them a while back, but that deal didn't go through.

I got my '06 Z06 from a Ford dealer! lol They have been great to me. Thank goodness I can do almost all of my own maintenance.

I bought a yellow 2000, a yellow 2002, and a White 2004 that was FULLY loaded with every option and stickered for more than $50k. I have spent over a $100,000 with them since 2000 and have always brought my cars there....BUT, all the good people have left, and the mechanics all get paid the same regardless of experience.

I now have to shop around for a dealer to trust while under warranty. Then I would bring it to Premier Autosports for everything else after warranty.

That would be www.premierautosportstn.com but thanks. I hate to hear it ended up like this but had a feeling it would. So is everything replaced now except the bent wheel?

Edited my post.

GM has bumped it up several levels thanks to our Customer Service Rep Geoff.

They are going to lean on Chuck Hutton or just provide me a wheel. If they will let me have it loose....I will bring it to you.

Hope it works out. If we need to we can dismount the damaged wheel so you can carry it to them, as I'm sure they won't allow you to have both wheels at once.

Same here on my z06. 2008 with 43k. Took it in for an abnormal noise and they said it was normal. While it was there I had them do an oil change. Then the noised sounded a little louder to me. Brought the car back a couple days later and now after having it for 3 days they found a bad lifter and some damage to the cam. They are covering it all under the powertrain warranty. Replacing all lifters and a new cam, but they say that it will take a couple weeks for parts and some time to do the repairs. I'm just hoping I don't have to go through what you have. I had been thinking of having them replace the clutch with a new one. There doesn't seem to be any problems with the clutch now but just in case the car was abused before I purchased it. Reading all of this has me having second thoughts now, why fix what isn't broken.

Make sure the bind, secure and protect you damn calipers, or they will get beat up.
