06 2LZ weight full tank
Had my 06 2LZ weighed just now and wasn't real happen when I got the ticket.
This was on a CAT scale.
Just filled up the gas tank to as much as it would hold.
I also had a few items that would increase the weight a little.
Jake floor mats (4-5lbs?), trunk partitioner (1-3lbs?), corvette racing cargo mat (3-6lbs?) Apsis splash guards (1lbs?).
With all this came out to exactly 3180lbs.
I thought the 06 1LZ was 3132? And the 2LZ package is about 12-14lbs?
Does GM really weigh with a full tank of gas?
Are these truck stop CAT scales pretty accurate?

gas weighes ~6.25 lbs/ gallon.
Curb Weight
= Vehicle built with standard equipment + all fluids (fuel, oil, coolant)
•
This is the weight of an empty vehicle built without options (except if equipped with optional engine and air conditioning), without cargo, without driver and passengers, but it does include the maximum capacity of fluids such as a full fuel tank, oils, coolant, etc.
•
Spare tire and changing tools are standard equipment and included in the curb weight.

Thanks, did that source give an idea of what the 2lz should weigh?

Most truck scales are rounded to the nearest twenty pound number!! My 2LZ with a quarter tank of gas, helmet, and a bunch of crap in my glove n center compartment weighed 3108 at the track!!

Just confirmed with the cat scale folks, they go towards the nearest closest 20 pounds. So by my bad math I guess there could be upto an 18 pound difference, I will try to find a more accurate scale.
