As nice as the carbon is,$99k for a corvette is a lot, nevermind the $124k for a ZR1.

So bottom line, we get a Z06 with carbon hood, roof and side skirt + ceramic brakes, weight is equal and performance identical?
And for all this 30K ekstra
Or am i missing something?

Actually, a standard 2011 Z06 (not the carbon edition) fully loaded with many options, including the Carbon Package $4k, and the Z07 Performance Package $10k, has an MSRP of $98,600. Some in the media, as well as many dealers continue to be confused about the $10k performance option since it is called the Z07 performance option. They say the question begs, does that make it a Z07 model? Then there's the Carbon Option, which is apparently standard on the Carbon Edition.
Inside, the Carbon Edition features a higher rise hood, a black leather-and-suede interior -- the suede is used on the steering wheel, shifter, seat inserts, armrest, and doors -- with blue or orange contrasting stitching depending on the exterior color, accompanied by unique sill plates, logoed headrests, and steering wheel emblem. This vehicle is available in Supersonic Blue and Inferno Orange only.
Since everything is relative, that $98,600 price makes the MSRP of $109k for the Special Carbon Edition, limited to 500 units and thought to become a collector's item, not too shabby IMHO. The first of a couple they manufactured in March sold for $297k at auction. Robert
