Waiting could be a mistake. This is one car that I think will be low production.
Greetings, Production on the Limited Carbon Edition was halted long ago. The window for dealers to order was only open for less than two months. So, GM did not meet their production goal of 500, and final production was below 300.
I agree with those who mentioned that the economy and the 2011 Zs with the Z07 and Carbon Package captured many would-have-been Limited Carbon Edition Buyers. GM created a lot of hoopla when they released news of the 2011 LCE in March of 2010. One of the first ones they produced back then was sold at auction for $297k, and this was no doubt an attempt to set the stage for increased demand. I was a confirmed buyer the moment I saw the press release photos in March 2010, and I waited, waited and waited some more. By 6 November 2010, I purchased a 2011 SSB with Z07/Carbon package - never regretted it.
GM has gotten along fine without my opinions thus far, but I suspect they made a huge blunder by offering the Z07/Carbon a whole year ahead of the release of the Limited Edition Carbon. However, that being said, those circumstances may actually help increase the ultimate value of the LCE, because fewer were made than originally projected. Time will tell.

So once they are on they can't come off without destroying them?
The dealers have said that if they are installed properly, they can be installed and removed without damaging them. They are in some ways like the film they use for tinting windows, only thicker. So, I suspect you apply the track decals with only water and a squeegee, and perhaps, use only water to peal them off. My 2 cents.
