Default Ron Fellows Z06

I see there is a Ron Fellows Z06 for sale:

RON FELLOWS SPECIAL EDITION SIGNED BY RON FELLOWS CARBON FIBER TRIM #315 OF 399 RARE ARCTIC WHITE ON RED BLACK/RED SEATS CHROME FACTORY WHEELS NAVIGATION!!!

Is this simply a Z06 signed by Ron or is there something else special about it?

TIA

White was special to that model but gm decided to include white with the rest od the colors. It has the special red/black interior scheme, and a unique wing and some stickers for the fenders and windshield. Other than that I can't think of anything else. Gm, imo, screwed RFZ owners when they decided to include white with the regular lineup in 2010.

Each car is also personally signed and numbered by Ron on the inside of the center console lid. There were only 399 of these cars, so they are pretty rare. I own #308 and I'm hoping that some day it wil bring a decent price.

The minute GM offered White Zs all RFZ owners got screwed.

IMHO they will never be worth that much more then any other comparable Z.

Yup, what they said above. In addition, it was commemorating Corvette Racing's GT1 victories in ALMS. 33 of the 399 were headed to Canada. The hash marks are pretty cool as they have the pattern of the Canadian flag (Ron Fellows is from Canada) and have silver borders along with his sig on the edge I believe, as well as being individually signed and numbered under the center console. Very cool car but GM did them wrong when they made Arctic White an option to Z06's.

A lot of guys paid the premium price of $85k plus tax and fees or more for these (very bad idea) now that I've seen them selling for low to $50s

Good point.
Chevrolet has a way of doing that following 'special' edition Corvettes.
Too bad, the RF's edition's are great collectors and especially for first time Z06 owners.

Just make sure the needle bearing issue had been addressed as -IIRC- that affected the RFs run, or an early portion of it anyway.

Or just replace the whole car with a 2012 white GT-R (MarkRx)

I would have gone with a ZR1 myself...

Nope, 399 is correct. 33 for Canada, 66 for Europe and 300 for the US. Ron's favorite car number is "3" and "33", so the quantities were multiples of 3.

there was nothing wrong with my 07Z if you recall... and it now lies in the hands of a fellow CF member where it belongs.

the 2012 GTR has the power of a Z and the beauty of AWD. I seriously considered a new arctic white 1ZR for $92k but wanted something different. I can always jump ship to a C7 if it suits my tastebuds. You only live once!
