New tires found bent wheel
Just put on my new tires and found a bent right front wheel. didn[t know it was bent until they put it on the balancer. so now i need to find a front polished alum. wheel for my Z.
A few months ago I was intering the freeway between 2 semi trucks.
it was just at dusk when the front truck swerved and in my prifrial vision I saw something comming from under the truck in front of me.
ran over what ever it was (couldn't pull over right then in So. Calif. traffic) but when I did a 1/2 mile down the road I found all my plastic under carrage was torn apart to include the air ducts to the breaks.
at the repair shop, the radiator and the entire housing was bent.
I will re open a claim as they did not spin my front tires to see if damage was done.
I could feel a bit of vibration but have not been at any high speeds to really check anything out.
yes we did a alignment as well.
Anyone now of a wheel in their garage?

Forum vendor Doc-Z has new GM Speedline polished wheels at a good price ($720 for 4). I'm not sure what the price for one. I bought a set and they were new as advertised and GM OEM.

Just perhaps the wheel can be straighten successfully.
In my area @$150.
As I recall, Bob at House of Wheels is one of this forum's references for replacement or OEM new or used rims.
If this was/is an insurance claim you can never beat the quality of a new rim.
