Default First post, my black Z06

Hey guys,

This is my first post here on the forum! Got my Z06 a while ago but wasn't familiar with online forums and so..
it's a 2009 Z06, got a few mods installed:

Magnaflow catback exhaust system, diablo predator with custom tune, K&N Air intake...

Just landed here to discuss and talk to other Corvette owners! I see many awesome topics here and there and i'm sure i'm gonna learn alot of new things I could do with my Vette!

Sorry about the lousy cam in the first couple of pictures! Hopefully better pics more to come
Will be around

And for the fact we don't have a drag racing strip or any track around in my country, i'm really not that into heavily modifying my z06

so to me it's Either many small mods or a TT system ..

But my question is, would my tranny and axles take that much power? what's the factory limit?

Nice lookin' Z. Must have been painful to put that gawdy front plate on it. Welcome!

BTW, what's the cost of a gallon of gas over there?

Congrats on the Z. I am sure you will enjoy it. Have you noticed many other Corvettes in your country? I spent 3 months in Kuwait about 12 years ago and did not see one.

Tell me about it!!! It's just freakin' huge and it's illegal to drive without it..

and as for gas, well here I use 95 octane fuel (but i doubt it's really 95)
for $1.1 a liter ($4.1 a gallon)

gas prices are a bit high here in Jordan.. how is it in the US?

We have only 93 octane locally and we are basically identical in price for the moment. Give us a couple of days and it will be up 10 cents...

Nice Z you have!!

should be just fine as long as your not doing crazy launches from a dead stop on sticky drag radials or slicks.

About $4.60 a gallon for Premium where I'm at in California, which is about 50 cents higher than the national average. Some areas of California are well over $5.00 a gallon.

The pain at the pump is eased when you nail the throttle!

Congratulations on your new Z06. Looks like a beauty I'm sure it gets alot of attention over there.

93 Octane in Mass. is about $4.06/Gallon. They get great gas mileage though, if you can keep your foot out of it

I think your axles are fine, but I discovered the weak spot in my rear end over the weekend - the spider gears in the posi assembly.

Never a dull moment. And congrats on your purchase. Car looks great.

Don't think I'd be running any slicks or doing crazy full stop launches, I guess I'll be pushing it around from time to time but that was my only fear as it happened to a friend of mine ..a rough start cracked his rear axle in half

Now that's alot, shouldn't there be a national fixed rate?

Oh yes it does! Sometimes I'm afraid of taking it out on the weekend, lots of admirers but at the same time, lots of *******s!

So do you recommend an aftermarket rear diff? you ever got problems with your stock one?
