[Z06] Johnny O'Connell Stage 1 Signature Series Suspension Kits C6 Z06
#22
I am about 2 weeks away from taking delivery of my "new to me" 09' Z06.
This package, along with a Corsa exhaust is going on within a week after I have it.
I can't wait to see what the Stage 1 does to the naturally twitchy rear-end of the Z. I am hoping for BMW M3 confidence at triple digit speeds.

out a lot of the "wandering" feeling on the Hwy.
It is not to stiff for the street and does a nice job at flattening out
the body roll.

Turn in was much better exit speed was greater could get back on the gas quicker. High speed turn felt less nervous. Coming in to a sharp turn there was less brake dive. Tire temps were more even. The only thing i wasn't happy with is when i set my ride height and corner weighted car i could not get there recommended alignment settings. I got close but ran out of adjustment.

There is a caster camber kit if you need further adjustment

Senior Badass!
How would this kit perform with coilovers rather than the shocks? Better? Worse? No difference? I want to add sway bars and end links but I want a lower than stock ride height. Thanks for any info you can provide.

as they were intended
They will redistribute the weight transfer to a more neutral
position, rather than the front heavy stock configuration
They will make the car more predictable at the edge, improve turn in
and body roll.
You will be able to tell immediately

That is the reason I had a hard time deciding between the JOC or the DRM Bilsteins. I want the best shock for taming the rear end.

Does it take "a lot" or all of the instability out of the rear? That is the biggest reason for doing this for me, is to have the rear end planted, controlled, and stabilize, LIKE RIGHT NOW, after being upset mid corner.

Not sure how to quantify that. So much would depend on other variables...
Tires, tire pressure, driving style, bushing condition, alignment...
It is safe to say that it is a very noticeable improvement.
