Default out with the old and in with the new

well after selling my rx7 and my busa i flew out to Calli from south GA and drove home my new "to me" 2008 z06. the car is amazing and it has power for days. me and a Buddie took turns driving straight through and it was a great experience, def had time to bond with the car. it has 1 7/8 long tube headers and a off road x pipe. for once i plan on keeping this car close to stock for a while.

Did you choose to get a JSB or is JSB the color it happened to be?

I never had a inclination for JSB until I bought one. It has definitely grown on me. It's very hard to photograph and catch what is seen by the eye so to speak.

Congrats. Nice ride....

Beautiful car; good luck with it and fun! (I wouldn't call it "close to stock" though) Couldn't do those mods here in AZ, legally.

I'm pretty sure you can't do long tubes anywhere legally. It's part of the federal emissions control regs. Many states do not check however.
In our area, emission systems are tested annually. The test includes a visual exam, using mirrors to see under the vehicle. I have never asked what they use the mirrirs to look for, and have never failed a visual. Had a '95 Cobra Mustang once with an "X" cam, LTs and dumps that not only passed, it was certified at zero PPM for emissions. I just said "thanks", and drove away. But I was most likely in violation of several federal enissions system regs.

State autonomy FTMFW.

We had emissions-check in southeastern Ohio for a few years - right before it went broke. Thankfully, they never bothered trying to refund it.

thanks guys. jsb was my second choice only to white. i say lightly modded as apposed to cam, heads, forced induction, or things of that nature. i don't really consider exhaust to wild. luckily in my little hillbilly town we don't have any sort of emission testing at all.
