Default New Power: Dyno Results

As some of you know, I had my WCCH II heads rebuilt and ported by Darin Morgan.

See here: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-z...-and-data.html

Just to summarize... the OE guides were never replaced and were now shot (37K on the guides)... so those were replaced and I had the heads fully ported by Darin along with a 102/102 setup.

DATA/RESULTS:

Engine Before:
454" LS2 (Sleeved and Stroked)
11.5:1 Compression, uses 93 Octane Pump Gas
West Coast Racing Cylinder Heads (WCCH) Fully Ported LS7 Heads
Ported OE Throttle Body and Ported OE Intake Manifold
Halltech Air Filter Inlet
Mike Jones 253/259 Cam
American Racing 1.875" LT Headers w/ 3" X-Pipe

Engine Changes:
Darin Morgan Ported LS7 Heads (Pics in link)
Darin Morgan Ported FAST 102/102 Setup
American Racing 2" LT Headers w/ 3" X-Pipe

Blue = Before
Red = After

It was tuned on a DynoJet by Bryan @ PowerFab Automotive in Houston and I'm very happy with the SAE corrected results. I can really feel the extra power and it makes the car slip all over the place - fun!

Ha! I predicted 600 and you got more than that! Excellent work. Makes me even happier that I'm going to be using Darin for my hci combo as well.

Bet you can't wait to beat up on those expensive imports!

SAE of .96 which means the car actually made ~629rwhp with the new setup. That is badass.

Wow, very impressive. I guess I know who I'm using if I ever need head work done.

Thanks for posting

I'm putting on some 3" muffler delete pipes on it this week (just for fun) and ill see if the factory 2.5" bottleneck mufflers are holding me back.

I've never seen Richard claim to be the best or brag about dyno or power numbers so I don't know where that is coming from.

In the racing community, Darin Morgan is known as perhaps the top cylinder head guru in the country. He holds classes that teach the cylinder head porters how to port cylinder heads. He has done a lot of work for many, many professional teams in the past including pro-stock. Also, long standing relationship with Rehr-Morrison as their in-house cylinder head guru. Rehr Morrison is one of the top 2 or 3 Sportsman engine builders in the country.

Giving him your cylinder heads is about the safest thing you can do.

Congrats on the outstanding results.

Ya but....he's not a CF vendor, so he actually does not exist. lol This place, as well as LS1 tech crack me up. Unless someone wastes countless hours f'ing off on a forum, they can't be real and that world outside of forums must surely be nothing more than never-never land.
